I recently attended “Catch a Bunch of Authors” at Aurora Public Library. Very good presentations and lots of great books out there! I found a good book to read to preschoolers: Gina, Queen of the Butterflies, by Donna Mililli.A gentle learning story about a dear little girl who teaches her friends compassion through her love for butterflies. Great pictures, too. You can find the book here.
We had a lot of snow a few years ago. So far this year, snow has not come near. Rain and ice are not as nice for building a snowman or having a snowball fight. But it’s easier than shoveling! : )
Do you like to play in the snow?
- A rat sat on a mat wearing a hat.
- A bee and a flea landed on my knee.
- A cow bowed down wearing a crown.
- A boy named Roy played with a toy.
I am happy to see the beautiful fall colors again. I look forward to them every year. My hat is off to all the children and teachers who are working hard this school year. Way to go! Keep up the good work.
As the new school year gets underway, I can’t help but think of all the emotions the children are feeling. Excitement to see their friends again. Trepidation over new challenges. Wondering if their teacher will like them. All these and more. I wish you all a good start and a wonderful new school year. The French have a saying for that: Bonne rentrée! : )
